Recipe for Gibanica
Gibanica
For the batter you will need to mix:
Preparation:
- Grease the bottom of a pan with oil (not from a fat free spray, I tried it, it does not work).
- Put 3 sheets of the dough on the bottom of the pan
- Cover it with the batter (not too thick, you should have enough for at least 5-6 layers (the more the better)).
- Put one or two more sheets on top
- Cover with batter again
- Repeat Steps 3-5 until all the batter you have is used and you have only 3 sheets left.
- Smudge 1 or 2 eggs on the top layer for crispiness and pretty color
- Bake for 50 min at 370 F but BROIL for the last 3-5 min.
