In 1999/2000 a 15 year old boy better known as MafiaBoy launched a series of attacks on Yahoo, CNN, eTrade, eBay, Amazon and some other big web sites at the time, successfully bringing them down and even prompting President Bill Clinton to hold a special Cyber Security Summit at the White House
