I always wondered why, bot today I found out.
Surely, it was not thawing outside for days, but since our freezer was full the frozen DiGiorno was left out in the cold (i.e. in the fridge).
It turns out - the dough gets really saggy and once the pizza is baked it has no fluffiness and savory dough-goodness we all love. Even to the naked eye it just simply looked wrong.
So, there you have it! Save yourself some time and run to the store and get a new, freshly-frozen one, if taste is what you crave 
Of course, if you thaw it too much you risk of getting a stomachache or food poisoning, especially if meet on it gets spoiled so the good old one is always there to remind you - “When in doubt, throw it out”.
